SBE operates a policy where research potential is given high priority within the context of its core activities. The planned assignment of administration and teaching to facilitate research is such that non-research active staff undertake additional administration and/or teaching. Support is received from technical staff who are primarily involved with the delivery of the SBE’s comprehensive portfolio of taught programmes. A cohort of young researchers and emerging research staff who are published in their own right but whose work is not just yet sufficient to merit inclusion in this RAE submission underpin the activity reported.
