Three members of staff are developing their research portfolios, but currently do not meet the internal criteria for inclusion in this submission. Dr Peter O'Donoghue (Notational Analysis) was appointed in December 1998, and has three refereed articles in the current RAE period. Dr Deirdre Brennan (PE/Gender issues) has recently completed her PhD following two maternity leaves and has two refereed articles in the current RAE period. Ms Mary Margaret Meade (Psychology) was appointed in December 1999, and is currently completing her doctorate on eating disorders in athletes. She has one refereed publication in the current RAE period. Thus, in the current assessment period, eight out of nine members of UA69 are involved in research.
